The best airport to fly into is the Albuquerque International Sunport . There is a car rental counter attached to the airport, accessible by Sunport Tram from baggage claim.
It is an easy 2 1/2hour drive southeast to Carrizozo New Mexico. Which will be the epicenter of everything cool and awesome for the weekend of July 2nd! Here is a link to google maps directions from the airport to the hotels.
Driving Directions:
From the Albuquerque Sunport take I-25 S for approximately 83 miles. Then take the US-380 E exit towards San Antonio/Carrizozo for approximately 65 miles.
The Chaparral and The Rainbow Inn are both at the intersection of US-380 and Hwy-54. The Sands Motel is on Hwy-54W just through town.
the SALOON:
We are having a Welcome to the Wild West party on Friday night at the White Oaks No Scum Allowed Saloon. Paul Pino and the Tone Daddies will be playing all night!
To get there, take Hwy 54 E out of town. Turn onto Co Rd 349/Co Rd A044 toward White Oaks, cross over the railroad tracks, and the Saloon will be on the left approximately 8 miles down the road.
the RANCH:
For the Wedding on Saturday and Brunch on Sunday head out to the Pino Family Ranch. It is quite rural, so rural in fact that there isn't an actual address.
To get to the Ranch drive East, out of town, on US-380 for approximately 3 miles. You will notice a new subdivision on the left side of the highway called Val del Sol. There is a Val del Sol Golf Course on the right side of the highway, but the entrances to the development are on the left. Pass the first entrance and be on the look out for the second entrance. Turn left into the entrance and continue on (the dirt road) to the traffic circle (quite laughable in the middle of nowhere as you will see), then turn right onto Pino Road and mind the speed limit! There will be signs to the Ranch from here, just keep left at each fork for approximately 3 miles. The Ranch and everyone cool will be there! Hooray!
